This 1991 BMW M3 was modified as a track car by 425 Motorsports of Bellevue, Washington between 2014 and 2015 at a reported cost of ~$100k, including the installation of a fiberglass roof and a roll cage along with a 3.2-liter S54 inline-six and six-speed manual transmission.
The car was repainted orange and fitted with Evo-style front and rear spoilers, removable Lexan windows, Euro-style “smiley” headlights, and a single windshield wiper. A StopTech Trophy Sport big brake kit, Moton coilover suspension, Ireland Engineering sway bars, and three-piece 17″ BBS E87 wheels were also added, in addition to a carbon-fiber CSL-style air intake, an aluminum radiator, and a custom exhaust system. Since the seller acquired the car on BaT in Feburary 2024 they have driven it 1k miles, mounted Toyo Proxes tires, replaced the battery and fan, and fitted a Condor H-pattern shifter, Recaro Pole Position seats, and a Sabelt steering wheel. this E30 M3 track car is now offered with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The car was stripped to bare metal, the front and rear wheel arches were welded, the shock towers reinforced, and a fiberglass roof was installed before being refinished in the Lamborghini shade of Arancio Borealis under previous ownership. It was fitted with an Evo-style front lip with a carbon-fiber splitter and rear spoiler with a carbon-fiber gurney flap as well as removable Lexan side and rear windows, a single windshield wiper, and aftermarket Euro-style “smiley” headlights. Replacement carbon-fiber mirrors are included.
