Crucially, the “Big 3” E46 M3 maintenance items—rod bearings, VANOS, and subframe—have all been fully addressed.
The “Big 3” Maintenance (Completed since 2022)
* Rod Bearings: Replaced with ACL bearings and ARP bolts (completed ~6,000 miles ago).
* VANOS: Completely rebuilt, including the installation of a VAC exhaust hub.
* Subframe: Inspected and reinforced with a rear 4-point subframe brace.
Drivetrain & Performance Upgrades
* Transmission: Converted from SMG to a proper 6-speed manual. Features a new clutch master and an FX250 clutch with an OEM dual-mass flywheel (less than 1,000 miles on the clutch setup).
* Forced Induction: ESS Tuning G540 Supercharger kit (less than 4,000 miles on the kit).
