BMW’s fifth-generation M3 went on sale for the 2015 model year. Based on the F30-generation 3 Series, and called the F80 internally, it swapped its predecessor’s V8 for a twin-turbocharged straight-6 and picked up more horsepower and a lot more torque along the way. Production ended in 2018.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter straight-6 engine, rated at 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque in stock form. Due to the modifications performed to this M3, it may produce more power, but a dyno sheet was not provided to confirm. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
