Description:
Only selling as I purchased an Emira as a new daily and I don’t have the time to also drive the M3 anymore. I purchased this car about 4 years ago in December 2021 with 58k miles. I am the fourth owner of the car. The previous owner worked at BMW of Buffalo. The owner before him owned the car from 14k miles to 54k miles and I was able to contact him before purchasing the car in 2021 – both owners were meticulous.
This was my dream car as a child and it was an incredible ownership experience. I’ve addressed all of the major maintenance items on these cars – Rod Bearings, Throttle Actuators, A/C Condenser, Valve Cover Gaskets, etc.
I also have a warranty through EFG on the car that I have used to cover some of above items. The warranty has 13 months left on it – I can transfer it to the new owner (will confirm with EFG).
I would give the car a 8/10 on the exterior. The main points being a scratch on the passenger side skirt, a small dent on the drivers door, chips on the hood, and a front bumper that really requires a respray (due to heavy chippage and scrapes). I’ve discounted the car $1500 for a front bumper refresh – unfortunately none of the previous owners put PPF on the front end so the front bumper specifically has considerable rock chips, and I also scraped the underside leaving a parking lot. In addition I ran a GT4 lip on the car so there are some holes in the bumper underneath.
However, aside from the front bumper, the rest of the car is in great condition with no material scratches or dings to report.
I would give the car a 9/10 on the interior. There is slight wear, but I would say overall in excellent condition for a 80k mile car. The door cards look great, minimal wear on the factory seats (nearly none on the OMPs), and new trim pieces on the center console.
Maintenance under my ownership:
New Valve Cover Gaskets, DCT seals, Diff. Seals, Engine Mounts, Battery – 60k miles
Rod Bearings – 60k miles
Spark Plugs – 70k miles
Differential Fluid change, A/C Evaporator replacement, new output shaft seals, new throttle actuators, and coolant flush – 72k miles
In total about $11k spent on major maintenance during my ownership. Oil was changed every 4-5k miles, and I last did the power steering flush at 67k miles.
Mods:
The car currently has the following items (price I paid shown in parentheses):
Active Autowerke Gen 2. Axleback ($1600)
MS Catless X Pipe with 2 high flow GESI Cats (was about $2000 for the setup with cats). I had this X pipe with no cats and with the high flow cats and IMO this setup is the way to go on these cars.
OMP WRCR Seats in M-Rain Pattern: (~$2000)
18” Apex ML10RT ($2500) w/ PS4S
Alpine MSS Tune (required to code out the CEL for the exhaust)
Mr12Volt CarPlay module (gives the car wireless carplay – can be removed for next owner)
I will include the axleback, Apex ML10RT wheels, and factory seats with the car – if the buyer would like the aftermarket seats and X-Pipe we can work something out.
I have the factory 19” 359Ms I can include as well, but no tires with them. If you want the 359Ms but not the Apex wheels we can figure something out there too.
