For sale is my 4 door 1997 M3. I’ve owned this car for about 8 months and unfortunately have to sell it to purchase a new truck. During those 8 months I’ve done some exterior cosmetic work and gave the engine a once over (new plugs, fluids, camshaft sensor etc..) I also got the AC up and running.
The car is in pretty good shape for 24 years old. Exterior is 8/10. It isn’t a showroom car but is cleaner than most e36 m3s I see on the road or online. The interior is in good shape besides the seats. I put in a couple of seats from a 3 series that were “better” than the original. But I have the original seats you can have or I can put back in before you purchase. But they are in really bad shape and will need to be recovered.
I compression tested all the cylinders and they are all consistent getting around 200 psi a cylinder. It pulls well and all the gears shift and catch good.
When I purchased the car it had a check engine light for o2 sensors. However after doing some general maintenance the light went away and has been off for months. But that may be something to consider for the future. The abs light is on for speed sensors, I did not get around to replacing those. If the car doesn’t sell I will probably end up replacing them. The airbag light is on, the previous owner replaced the steering wheel. The right rear strut will probably need replacement.
Overall this is a great car. I’ve loved driving it, but have to move on.
